2025-2026 Academic Year - IHU Dormitory Applications

The female and male student dormitories located within the Ibn Haldun University campus are operated by our founding foundation, the Turkey Youth and Education Service Foundation (TÜRGEV), and provide services to students. Detailed information regarding dormitory accommodation processes is provided below.

 

DORMITORY FEATURES AND FACILITIES

Our dormitories can accommodate a total of 736 students, 354 female and 382 male. Many comforts for students have been considered in the rooms and throughout the dormitories. Dorm rooms are designed for 3 people, with 7 rooms in the female dormitory allocated for 2 people.

All rooms have private bathrooms and a mini refrigerator. Within the dormitory buildings, there are private study areas, relaxation areas, social and cultural activity spaces, and a library, in addition to aerobics rooms for female students, fitness rooms for male students, and hobby kitchens. Right next to the dormitory buildings, students can also access an outdoor football field, basketball court, and tennis court.

Various workshops can be organized in the dormitories according to students’ interests, and social and cultural activities are also held.

APPLICATION CRITERIA

 Requirement of Being an Active Student: To benefit from dormitory accommodation, the student must be registered for courses each semester and have active student status.

 No Outstanding Dormitory Debt: Students with unpaid debts from previous dormitory stays or summer dormitory accommodation will not be considered for accommodation requests.

 Dormitory Scholarship Students: Students holding dormitory scholarships must register in the TÜRGEV system and submit an application in order to stay in the dormitory.

 Former Dormitory Residents: Students who have previously stayed in the dormitory and already have a record must update their registration and reapply through the system. Applications must be submitted via the email address used for the initial application at turgev.org.

MEAL INFORMATION

   The dormitory accommodation fee includes Breakfast and Dinner.

   In order to activate meal services, you must register with your student card at the dormitory administration. Meals are served in the cafeteria located on Floor -1 of the Student Center

APPLICATION PROCESS

 Application Address: Dormitory applications will be made online through the website www.turgev.org using the IHU institutional student e-mail account.

 Registration for New Students: Students who have not previously stayed in TÜRGEV dormitories must obtain an institutional IHU student e-mail account from IHU Student Affairs and IHU Information Services. Afterwards, they must create a registration on www.turgev.org by setting a username and password. Once the registration is completed and educational information is entered under the profile section, IHU dormitories will appear in the system and applications can be submitted. Educational information must be completed to enable dormitory selection.

 Updating Registration for Current Students: Students who have previously stayed in the dormitory must update their records and reapply. Students must apply at turgev.org using the email address they used for their initial application.

APPLICATION EVALUATION- INFORMATION PROCESSES

 Online Interview: Applicants will undergo a preliminary evaluation by the dormitory management via online interviews conducted on Zoom.

 Priority Ranking and List Creation: Following the online interview evaluations, dormitory directors will create main and waiting lists according to the “Priority Dormitory Accommodation Criteria.”

 Notification of Application Results: Application results will be notified to students by TÜRGEV via SMS.

REGISTRATION PROCESSES

 Final Registration: For final registration, the required documents must be signed and uploaded completely to the TÜRGEV system within the specified date range.

 Waiting List Registration: After the completion of main registrations, if there are vacancies in the dormitory, students on the waiting list will be informed by the dormitory management in order, and they must complete the registration process by the specified deadline, following the same procedure as the main registration.

FEE AND PAYMENT METHOD

 Opening a Bank Account: International students and students with temporary citizenship must open an account via Vakıfbank, while students who are Turkish citizens must open an account via Albaraka Türk Participation Bank and arrange installment payments through OTS (School Installment System).

 Full Payment: Students who wish to make full payment can transfer the fee to the following account: “Turkey Youth and Education Service Foundation” Economic Enterprise, Albaraka Türk Participation Bank, IBAN: TR85 0020 3000 1542 6025 0000 40. A 5% discount is applied for full payments.

 Installment Payment: Students wishing to pay in installments must open an account at Albaraka Türk Participation Bank for the purpose of paying fees and sign an “Automatic Collection Agreement” with the bank.

 Sibling Discount: A 20% sibling discount is applied to the accommodation fee.

 Deposit Fee: The deposit fee is determined by the dormitory. During registration, it must be deposited into the following account:  “Turkey Youth and Education Service Foundation” Economic Enterprise, Albaraka Türk Participation Bank, IBAN: TR58 0020 3000 1542 6025 0000 41. The deposit also applies to scholarship students. The deposit will be refunded if the student graduates or wishes to leave the dormitory at the end of the academic year, provided no damage has been caused to any fixtures.
