Dear Students,

The “IHU Worth a Century Student Workshops,” inspired by our deep-rooted civilization concept and rich cultural heritage, aim to bring alternative perspectives to contemporary social issues within the scope of the "Century of Turkey" vision. These workshops aim to establish an intellectual platform and provide concrete development proposals.

In this workshop, under the theme "Family in the Century of Turkey," we aim to examine the concept of family from the perspective of our students in a multifaceted way; contribute to strengthening the family institution, and develop a common awareness and understanding for rebuilding the foundations of healthy relationships.

The workshop will be conducted on an interdisciplinary platform with the participation of students from various faculties, departments, and academic years. During the workshop, 100 IHU students will generate solution proposals to the questions identified through the "Brainstorming" method. The report prepared based on the outcomes will be presented by our students to relevant institutions.

Participants will receive a Participation Certificate, which can be integrated into the Social Transcript system with a QR code. Additionally, 5 participants will be awarded "Smart Watches" through a raffle.

Family in the Century of Turkey: Field Questions from IHU Students' Perspective

The workshop will focus on finding answers to the following questions with the participation of 100 IHU students:

  1. What fundamental/root values do you think the family structure in the Century of Turkey should be built upon?
  2. What are the risks threatening the family structure, and what measures should be taken to mitigate these risks?
  3. Which family-oriented activities or initiatives, led by universities, NGOs, the private sector, and public institutions, can contribute to strengthening the family institution? If there are any good practice examples, please specify.

We invite all students who wish to contribute to the theme "Family in the Century of Turkey" to participate in the workshop. The number of participants is limited, and attendance will be determined based on the order of applications.
