The "Istanbul Cultural Ambassadors - Discover Istanbul Entirely" Program, organized by the Directorate of Arts, Culture, and Sports,introduces students to the history, architecture, and cultural significance of Istanbul’s major külliyes (Islamic social complexes). As part of this program, students will participate in guided tours and share their insights through cultural presentations, fostering appreciation for Istanbul’s cultural heritage.

  1. Program Highlights:Book/Article Readings: Readings on the Fatih, Bayezid, Süleymaniye, and Hagia Sophia külliyes.
  2. Guided Tours: Visits to the Fatih, Bayezid, Süleymaniye, and Hagia Sophia külliyes with an expert guide, providing in-depth insights on architectural features and history.
  3. Cultural Presentations: Students will present on the cultural aspects of the külliyes, sharing their knowledge both within and outside the institution.
  4. Certificate of Participation: Full participants will receive an "Istanbul Cultural Ambassador - Discover Istanbul Entirely" Program Certificate of Participation, which will be documented on the Ibn Haldun University Social Transcript.

Program Information

  • The language of education is Turkish.
  • Participation is free of charge.
  • Participants of the program must be active IHU students.
  • Applications will be received through the online form.
  • Enrolment will be determined according to language diversity and application order.
  • Participants must be proficient in Turkish (speaking and understanding).
  • It is expected to have a level of speaking and understanding in at least one foreign language.
  • The quota for the program is limited.

Instructor

Historian and Author Zafer BİLGİ will lead the program.
