e-SKS Portal and Social Transcript Application

With the e-SKS Portal developed by the Department of Art, Culture and Sports and the Department of Information Services, student clubs can plan and manage their events digitally, while students can easily record their participation in these events into the Social Transcript system via QR code.

In this way, all processes are carried out through a measurable, assessable, and sustainable digital reporting infrastructure based on an environmentally friendly and zero-paper principle.

Key Features of the e-SKS Portal:

Student Club Event Calendar:
IHU members can instantly access up-to-date information on student club event dates, content, and scope.

Student Announcements and News Tracking:
All announcements, news, and events published by student clubs and SKS can be accessed through the portal.

Club Membership Application:
Students can carry out their club membership procedures online via the e-SKS Portal.

Event Participation Tracking and Social Transcript Integration:
Students can scan QR codes generated by the system with their institutional email accounts during events to automatically record participation information to their social transcript.

Club Event Process Management:
Club administrators can plan their events through the e-SKS platform and digitally submit operational requests (such as purchasing, hall reservation, shuttle service requests, etc.).

Digital Approval Process for Club Advisors:
Club advisors can approve the events of the clubs they are responsible for via the system.

Important Announcements:

  1. Recording Club Event Participation to the Social Transcript:
For IHU students’ participation in club events to be reflected in the social transcript, the QR codes generated by the system must be scanned with their institutional (ending with @stu.ihu.edu.tr) email accounts prior to the event.
QR code details for the event can be obtained from club officials.
  2. Club Membership Requests:
Students can apply for club membership by going to the relevant club page on the e-SKS Portal and clicking the “Join” button.
Memberships not applied through the e-SKS Portal will not be displayed in the Social Transcript.
  3. Club Executive Board Title Information:
The title information (Club President, Vice President, Treasurer, etc.) of students who officially serve on the executive boards of student clubs is entered into the system by SKS Club Mentors and published on the e-SKS Portal.
Students who do not serve for at least two active terms or who temporarily serve on the executive board will not have their roles reflected in the social transcript.
