The History and Archaeology Club organized a field trip to the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art on December 20, 2025, with the aim of getting to know our cultural heritage closely and supporting academic knowledge with field experience. The event, which attracted great interest from students, made the learning process more lasting by providing the opportunity to observe historical artifacts firsthand. During the trip, students had the chance to closely examine many rare artifacts from different periods of Islamic art, including manuscripts, calligraphy examples, carpets, ceramics, and wooden and stone works. The evaluations made based on the artifacts in the museum collection helped students connect the theoretical knowledge they acquired in the classroom with concrete examples.
During the examinations, conducted with the guidance of club advisors and guides, the historical context of the artifacts, their production techniques, and their relationship to the social structure of the period were discussed. In this way, students not only saw the artifacts but also gained awareness about the preservation and transmission of cultural heritage. This museum trip organized by the History and Archaeology Club concluded as a productive event that supported students' academic development, strengthened their cultural awareness, and enabled them to connect with historical heritage.
