The "Water Awareness Talk: From Africa to Turkey," organized under the leadership of The Social Research and Thought Club, was met with great interest on our campus. During the event, which took place on 03.11.2025, attendees were introduced to the vital humanitarian aid and water provision efforts undertaken by the Water Well Association across the African continent. The esteemed academic, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kavas, provided profound insights into Africa's historical, cultural, and socio-economic structure, highlighting the devastating effects of the water crisis on the region. One of the most striking moments of the talk was when a guest from Africa shared his personal story of converting to Islam after participating in the Eurasia Marathon; this sincere confession deeply moved everyone present. The program concluded in an atmosphere that was both educational and emotional, enriched by personal anecdotes from the guests and performances of regional cultural dances.
