Writer Asım Gültekin met with literature and poetry enthusiasts in an interview titled "The Great Words from İsmail Hakkı Bursevi to Sezai Karakoç" broadcast live on the social media

platform.

Gültekin, who was a guest of the "Literary Talks" broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Department of Arts, Culture and Sports of Ibn Haldun University (IHU), said that he was looking for excuses to increase his time with his beloved İsmail Hakkı Bursevi, especially during Ramadan.

Gültekin gave information about Bursavi's works, books, divan, poems and style and continued his words with "My Sezai Karakoç readings have carried me to many thinkers, writers, poets, thinkers, wise and great people such as Hz. Mevlana, Yunus Emre, Akif, Fuzuli, Sheikh Galip."

Gültekin emphasized that Sezai Karakoç invites readers to a great civilization in his works, and added "The way to get in touch with that voice is to take his books and read them, not the internet." he said.

Gültekin, who read poems by giving examples from Bursevi's Divan, Şeyh Galip's ghazals and various sources, emphasized that poets such as Sezai Karakoç, İsmet Özel and Cahit Zarifoğlu put forth their works with love in the way of Allah.

Gültekin explained "Would these writers have been great poets if they had not had a problem with Muslims attaining the dignity they deserve? This problem made them so beautiful and made them say something deeply."

Gültekin told that great poets take a beautiful stance in the presence of Allah. "What makes our elders great is that they are fed by the Most Merciful and know how to stand in peace. This makes them so beautiful that they become the beauty of this road. The more we can follow in their path, the more we illuminate our lives.” he said.
