Ebru (Traditional Marbling Art) Course
In our “Ebru Course” event held with our students, we explored the secrets of traditional Turkish decorative art and gained the skill of shaping colors on the surface of water. We successfully completed a series of unique and visually striking marbling artworks.

On November 2, 2025, the Department of Arts, Culture and Sports brought together students interested in traditional Turkish decorative arts through the Ebru (Marbling) Course event. Organized within the scope of Art Workshops, this program offered participants the experience of creating unique works through the dance of colors on the water’s surface. Throughout the course, the history, techniques, and delicate details of marbling art were explained comprehensively by expert instructors.

During the event, students learned how to sprinkle dyes onto concentrated water known as kitre and practiced traditional techniques such as combing and shawl patterns. By the end of the course, each participant created their own original marbling artwork, gaining a valuable skill rooted in traditional art.
