The "Time for Empathy Talk" event , organized by Ibn Haldun University Music Club, took place on Tuesday, November 29 at the Student Center Event Hall.
The event, called Empathy Time, started with the opening speech of Hatice Durmuş, the President of the Music Club, in which she explained the content of the event and how they met Samet Özkan, the guest of the event. Street musician Samet Özkan started his speech by explaining the purpose of the event and talked about how, as animal lovers, individual studies can be carried out on stray animals in bad conditions. Talking about what street music is and being a busker, Samet Özkan shared his positive and negative experiences with the audience. Telling the story of his beginning as a street music artist, Samet Özkan continued his speech by explaining how the "Time for Empathy" project, which he started in a small city and continued in Istanbul, went through. Saying that he wants to reach a larger audience in the future due to this idea he has mobilized to draw attention to feeding stray animals, Samet Özkan ended his speech by talking about the future projects that our school students can participate in voluntarily.
The event ended after the participants received free animal food packages and Samet Özkan gave a short concert by singing songs.
