The event titled “Empowering Society, Revitalizing the Economy: The Role of NGOs in Syria,” organized by the Economics and Finance Club on December 23, 2025, was held within a meaningful context to commemorate the anniversary of Syria’s liberation. The program comprehensively addressed the activities of civil society organizations (CSOs) on the ground, their structural and humanitarian challenges, and their contributions to economic and social life in Syria, where they are crucial actors in the reconstruction and social recovery process. During the event, a representative from the Children of the Earth Association shared their field experiences and ongoing projects with the participants, while Syrian speakers familiar with the region offered their assessments of the process based on their experiences. The program, which was followed with great interest, provided participants with a deeper perspective on Syria’s current situation and future, highlighting the transformative power of civil society in rebuilding post-crisis societies.
