The 7th Traditional Özyeğin Freshers Debate Tournament was held on November 22–23, hosted by Özyeğin University, with 70 teams from 14 universities competing. Participants included prominent Turkish universities such as Acıbadem University, Bilkent University, Boğaziçi University, Çankaya University, Galatasaray University, Ibn Haldun University, Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul University, Koç University, Marmara University, MEF University, Middle East Technical University (METU), Özyeğin University and Sabancı University.
Representing Ibn Haldun University (İHÜ), the team “Babayla Zor Yarışırlar” outperformed all their competitors and claimed the championship title. Their impressive performance in the final round earned them a remarkable victory in this prestigious tournament.
While teams from various universities displayed a high level of competition throughout the event, the tournament organized by Özyeğin University provided an environment for university students to improve their debating skills and exchange ideas. The debate tournament helped participants develop their argumentation, persuasion and critical thinking abilities, while also offering them an academic platform to express their views.
