IHU Morning Gatherings: Büyükçamlıca Mosque Visit

Within this program carried out with our students, we had the opportunity to examine the architectural features and cultural significance of the site during the visit to Büyükçamlıca Mosque as part of the IHU Morning Gatherings. Throughout the program, where we also performed the morning prayer together, we developed our cultural and historical perspective by evaluating mosque architecture, aesthetic elements, and the social place of places of worship built in the modern era.

The Directorate of Culture, Arts, and Sports organized the “IHU Morning Gatherings - Büyükçamlıca Mosque” event on 03.05.2026, giving our students the opportunity to visit the Büyükçamlıca Mosque and examine its architectural features and cultural significance on-site. Within the scope of the program, our students made a spiritual start to the day by performing the morning prayer (fajr) together at Büyükçamlıca Mosque; evaluations were made regarding mosque architecture, aesthetic elements, and the social and cultural role of places of worship built in the modern era to develop participants' historical and cultural awareness.
