Organized under the leadership of REDAM (Guidance and Psychological Counseling Research and Application Center) in collaboration with the Psychology Club and the Literature Club, the talk titled “In Pursuit of Shadows: 50 Portraits on the Path of Psychological Resilience” took place on April 26, 2025. It was an inspiring event that explored how psychological resilience is shaped through life stories.
With the participation of researcher and author Taha Kılınç, the event focused on selected biographies from his book “In Pursuit of Shadows: 50 Shadow Portraits,” analyzing them through the lens of psychological endurance. Participants had the opportunity to reflect on how the human spirit is formed, resists, and transforms under challenging conditions, by examining the lives of various figures—soldiers, politicians, academics, and businesspeople—from across the Islamic world.
The discussion addressed personal setbacks, moments of struggle, and inner transformation processes not only from a historical perspective but also through psychological analysis. The program offered students a deeply engaging intellectual and emotional experience.
