The Islamic Civilization Club organized a special excursion program to offer its students an experience with high historical and spiritual depth. In the event, titled "Following the Stars Fallen on Istanbul: Eyüp Sultan," students visited Eyüp Sultan, one of the districts that has held a special status since the conquest of Istanbul and strongly carries the traces of Islamic civilization. Throughout the tour, accompanied by guides, students had the opportunity to closely examine the tomb of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (Eyüp Sultan), the standard-bearer of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who is buried in Istanbul, as well as the surrounding historical mosques, Ottoman-era structures, and cemeteries. This activity allowed students to directly experience the history they read about in their textbooks.
This meaningful excursion not only increased the students' cultural knowledge but also strengthened their awareness of history and spirituality thanks to the spiritual atmosphere of the visited sites. With this event, the Islamic Civilization Club aimed to encourage young people to better understand the civilizational values that shape their identity and to embrace this heritage. This journey, conducted in the tranquil and historic atmosphere of Eyüp Sultan, provided participants with both mental and spiritual nourishment, and the students returned with satisfaction from having explored these historical and spiritual riches.
