Cinema Club held the second event of the Film Review series on Tuesday, March 5, with the theme of Iranian Director Majid Majidi's film Baran. The guest of the event, Communication School Member Dr. Taner Doğan made a general assessment about Iranian Cinema and discussed the movie Baran with the participants.
Cinema Club President Ömer Faruk Bulut expressed his impressions of the event with the following sentences: “It is possible to see many themes, from the intense metaphors and images of Iranian Cinema to the concept of gender, from love to the Iranian society of the period, in this movie, which is a masterpiece of Majid Majidi. It was an unforgettable experience for us to analyze and try to make sense of such a film in company with our proffesor Taner Doğan. We hope to continue the Film Review series without slowing down, and we wish to interpret the cinema with the experience and analysis of our proffesors.”
