Japanese Culture Day Event Organised within the Scope of TADUK Culture Days
Under the leadership of TADÜK, a Japanese Culture Day event was organised with the cooperation of nine student clubs.

The program, organized with the theme “A Thousand Cranes”, aimed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the friendship between Japan and Turkey. Held at 3 December Media and Event Center, the event started with the speeches of Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees N. Bilal Erdoğan, Rector Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Özcan Erkan Akgün. Then Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cihan and Yoshinori Moriwaki shared information about Japanese culture.

Students had the opportunity to get to know Japanese culture closely with activities such as sushi making, Japanese tea ceremony, Turkish and Japanese archery. In addition, origami workshop and ‘Sadako’ animation added colour to the programme.

The event, which was organised under the leadership of TADÜK in cooperation with clubs such as Handicrafts, Debate, Archery, Philosophy, Career, Cinema, Information and Educational Technologies and TÜKTAK, attracted great interest from students.
