At İbn Haldun University, on the second anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood, a “Support for Palestine March” was organized under the leadership of student clubs to call a halt to what they described as Israel’s years-long genocide against Palestine and to show support for the Palestinian people. Students who gathered on campus at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, expressed their solidarity with Palestine in press statements delivered in Turkish, English and Arabic. Various academics attended the program, and Associate Professor Dr. Vahdettin Işık, Director of İbn Haldun University’s Institute for the Alliance of Civilizations, gave a speech.
In the press statement, Abdulkadir Ayyıldız, one of the students speaking on behalf of the group, said that the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, which began on October 7, 2023, dealt one of the greatest blows in the history of the Zionist entity.
Ayyıldız stated, “The brutal terrorist organization has tasted defeat in each of the measures it tried in turn — the blockade, indiscriminate bombardment, concentration camps and deportation plans. It is also doomed to be defeated by Gaza’s determined resistance. By making occupation and massacres a habit, the Zionist terrorist organization has become a monster that threatens all humanity.”
Calling on everyone to focus on what they can do according to their ability and to push their own limits, Ayyıldız added, “While the Zionist entity continues the occupation, our making condemnation speeches here without concrete demands has no effect. We address those in our country who harbor more than 10,000 dual citizens who have taken part in the Gaza massacre, even at the cost of bequeathing a life full of genocides to future generations. We demand the immediate revocation of the killers’ citizenships.”
