Summit of Manipulation
At the Manipulation Summit held at Ibn Haldun University, participants gained intellectual awareness through talks on perception management and propaganda. Through hands-on workshops, they had the opportunity to develop their critical and analytical thinking skills.

The Manipulation Summit, organized in collaboration with nine student clubs operating under Ibn Haldun University, was held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Başakşehir Campus with wide participation. Centered around the theme “Critical Thinking in the Age of Manipulation,” the summit addressed the theoretical and practical dimensions of the critical and analytical thinking skills individuals need to maintain intellectual independence in today's world.

The summit began with morning conference sessions. In his talk titled “The Necessity of Critical Thinking Today and Ways to Achieve It,” Prof. Dr. Tahsin Görgün discussed the moral foundations of thinking, while M. Yasir Cebeci posed the question “Whose Story Are We Living?” to encourage participants to explore their individual awareness. Speakers including Muhammet Enes Dönmez and Mustafa Acungil examined manipulation techniques, their effects, and ways to resist them through interdisciplinary perspectives involving religion, psychology, media, and society.

In the afternoon, participants had the opportunity to apply what they learned through hands-on workshops. Sessions such as Analytical Thinking Structures, Media Literacy, Contemplation Through Questions, and Centers of Attraction and Distances provided effective tools for developing skills in inquiry, interpretation, and independent thought.

Aiming to foster a conscious stance toward content produced across various fields, the Manipulation Summit marked a significant step in enhancing young people’s critical thinking abilities. With its blend of knowledge and practical experience delivered through lectures and workshops, the summit drew great interest from students.
