In the first of the Speaker's Corner event series, Şeyma İpek Çelenli, a graduate student in the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling, made a presentation titled “A Turkish Student's Syria Diary”. In her presentation, Çelenli shared her experiences about the organizations she participated in intended for children who are victims of war in Syria. Çelenli underlined that humanitarian aid is not only financial but also that it makes children happy to spend quality time with them through games and different activities. Çelenli also touched upon the importance of empathizing with the refugees in our country.
