The Literature Club organized the “Talking About Gaza Over Breakfast” event on October 18, 2025, marking an important gathering that combined intellectual depth with social responsibility awareness. The event opened a discussion on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza through literary texts, poems, and authors’ testimonies. This unique format enabled students to approach current global issues from both an artistic and critical perspective.
In the discussion, held in a warm breakfast setting, themes such as the impact of war on the human spirit and conscience, testimonial literature, and responsibility were explored. Through this organization, the Literature Club aimed to develop not only members’ reading and writing skills but also their empathy and social awareness. The event demonstrated how powerful literature can be as a tool for conscience and raising awareness.
