Understanding February 6
During the three-day camp organized by the Outdoor Sports Club, students received training on earthquake preparedness and survival skills.

Organized by the Outdoor Sports Club from April 22–24, 2025 at the Göktürk Camp Area, the three-day camp themed “Understanding February 6” brought students together in nature for a comprehensive program focused on disaster awareness, teamwork, and survival skills.

Participants received hands-on training in areas such as earthquake preparedness, emergency response, and post-disaster management. The program included practical sessions on radio communication, assembling basic emergency kits, setting up field tents, and nature-based cooperation activities.

The “Understanding February 6” camp aimed to cultivate awareness, responsibility, and a sense of community among young individuals, while keeping the reality of earthquakes in Turkey at the forefront. Throughout the event, participants enhanced both their physical and mental preparedness, experiencing a meaningful and solidarity-driven encounter with nature.
