Our Theater Club started weekly theater training this year, as it did last year. The basic principles of theater are explained with theoretical and practical methods, with the trainings given by Theater Instructor Safa Dallı, 2 days a week for 4 hours.
Our Theater Club President Ahmet Faruk Yıldırım stated the founding idea of the Theater Club, “After meeting the theater, a lot has changed in my life. Since I wanted to share these beauties with other people, I decided to establish the Theater Club with my friends.” sums it up in words.
Yıldırım stated that theater is an art that develops skills such as self-confidence, diction and rhetoric as well as human qualities such as empathy and continued as follows: Theater is a kind of mirror of life. There is a reality at the heart of the theater: For example, none of us look at how we walk, how we drink tea or how we move before we go on stage. We do all this without thinking, but when we go on stage, we feel the need to pay attention to our actions.” Because we really have to walk on stage, no one asks us to pretend to walk! When we imitate, it is easily perceived by those around us. Theater allows people to look at themselves, their movements and everything around them from a different perspective.
