In the program prepared by the HU Kudus Studies Community, the relationship between Passover, a Jewish holiday celebrated in Israel, and current events in Palestine was emphasized. Ahmet Faruk Asa from the Humanitarian and Social Research Center (İNSAMER) within the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation took part as a speaker at the event.
Ahmet Faruk Asa talked about the traditions practiced during the Passover Feast and explained the conscious provocation efforts against Muslims. Ahmet F. Asa talked about the situation of political and cultural crises in Israel from the past to the present, and mentioned that the internal tension experienced was directed against the Palestinians. Stating that it was not a coincidence that the recent attacks took place in Ramadan, Ahmet Asa said that the first measure to be taken individually against the human tragedy is to create a consciousness wave that starts from our own environment. Asa said, "We must have enough knowledge to explain the Palestinian picture," and expressed the importance of having information about the historical and sociological structure of the region. Afterwards, Ahmet Faruk Asa said that we should raise our voice as much as possible, especially in order to create public opinion in the media, by referring to the task of conveying the awareness we have, and lastly, he underlined the need to mobilize materially and morally.
