What is history not?
In our “What History Is Not?” lecture with students, we had the opportunity to reassess our understanding of history and ways of thinking under the guidance of Dr. Hüseyin Gökalp.

In the program titled “What History Is Not?”, featuring Dr. Hüseyin Gökalp from Selçuk University’s Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Department of Seerah and Islamic History, students will have the opportunity to revisit their understanding of history and their thinking habits.

Organized in collaboration with the Islamic Civilization Club and the Political Science Club, this productive and enlightening conference aims to emphasize that history is not merely a collection of events but also reflects the intellectual and value system of a civilization. Participants will have the chance to rediscover the connection between Islamic civilization and history while deeply examining the meaningful impact of the past on the present.
