On the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood, a "March in Support of Palestine" was organized at Ibn Haldun University by the student clubs to condemn the genocide Israel has been carrying out against Palestine for years and to show solidarity with the Palestinian people. On Monday, October 7th, at 12:30 PM, students gathered on campus and expressed their support for Palestine with press statements in Turkish, English, and Arabic. Trustee Board Chairman Representative Mr. N. Bilal Erdoğan and Rector Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan attended the event to show their support to the students.
In the press statement, students declared, "As students of a university that upholds the principle of intellectual independence, we expect our country to take the lead in putting an end to Israeli terrorism. We will fight for the advancement of our nation in the field of social sciences and for its awakening to national consciousness. Without giving in to any obstacles that may arise on this path, we will continue to combat Zionism and imperialism in every corner of the world, in every sphere of knowledge and thought." The program concluded with prayers and well wishes from the students.
