As the Department of Arts, Culture and Sports, we hosted "Prof. Dr. Seyyed Hossein Nasr" in cooperation with Insan Publications, Islamic Civilization Club, Literature Club and Philosophy Club at our university.
Our program titled "The Spiritual Significance of Nature in Islamic Tradition" was started with the opening speeches of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan, and then our guest, Seyyed Hussein Nasr, took his place on stage to make his speeches.
In his speech, our guest drew attention to the place of nature in Islamic sources, the situation of Islam and today's Muslims in the modern world, and current issues.
Many students, academicians and external guests attended the program, which had intense participation.
Prof. Dr. Seyyed Hossein Nasr answered the questions from the students after his speech and was given a calligraphy painting as a gift by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Bilal Erdoğan, and our Rector Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan.
