Savaş Barkçin told “People lead on what they love, so try to find something you like about the things you have to do.”
He stated that studying the favorite subjects motivates the person more easily. “Show yourself with your quality and qualifications in your working life.” Barkçin underlined that we need to be diligent and do our job properly and exceed our own potential.
Emphasizing that the students who will enter the working life in the future should imagine the world of tomorrow, not the world of today, and set goals accordingly, Barkçin counted three steps that will be beneficial in order to climb the career ladder effectively:
“First, learn the theory of the field you are interested in. Secondly, make sure to research the history of that area, namely its roots. Finally, learn the current developments in that field very well, because when you implement these three items in the best way, you will have the opportunity to become an authority in your field.”
The program ended with the presentation of a gift to the speaker by Dean of the Faculty of Management Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kemal Yılmaz.
