As part of the "Culture Days" series organized by the SKS Department, the "Uyghur Culture Day" event was held at the Student Center on December 28, 2022 in partnership with the Turkish Culture and History Research Club, Handicrafts and Skills Club, Social Responsibility Club and Political Science Club.
The event started with Fatma Nur Cantürk's presentation on Uyghur culture. After the narration about the architectural works, local clothes, food culture, daily life practices, handicrafts, traditions and customs of the East Turkestan region, a live Uyghur traditional music concert was held. The award-winning Kahoot game, which includes general culture and culture questions about East Turkestan, was played and award books were presented to the top three students. After the salon activities ended, Uyghur pilaf, samsa pastry and Uyghur tea were served to the participants. In addition, the guests who visited the exhibition where traditional Uyghur culture items were found had the opportunity to get to know Uyghur culture closely. The mask painting event of the Handicrafts and Skills Club and the emotion sharing corner of the Social Responsibility Club added color to the event.
