Mahmut Enes Fidan, undergraduate student of our university, won the ESL final at the random Pro Am IV: The Kneppers Invitational English debate tournament on 23-24 April 2022.
This tournament is run in the British Parliamentary format. In each hall, each room has 4 teams try to analyze and defend the given topic in the best way in accordance with their side. Government defending the motion or the opposition opposing the motion.
The Kneppers 4 tournament is also a tournament with more than 50 teams and 100 debaters from all over the world. After 4 rounds of matchups that are contested, the teams that pass the preliminary eliminations advance to the finals, respectively. In order to be able to compete in the tournament held in the GMT-4 time zone. Primarily our students who went to represent our university, and debaters from many parts of the world, try to get the best preparation for European Leagues and achieve success by winning the tournament where there is tight competition.
Mahmut Enes Fidan, one of the three students of our school who made it to the finals in the previous Kneppers 3 tournament, took our name one step further this time from among 3 other finalist teams and brought the final trophy to our school.
We would like to thank Mahmut Enes Fidan, who represented our university in such an environment and brought the victory home.
